The Straits Times

>JAKARTA: A bookseller with wavy hair and dark skin was returning to a school where he had made a pitch previously only to be arrested by police. They thought he was Mas Selamat Kastari.

Police questioned Mr Ahmad Fadilah for 10 hours on Thursday before releasing him. Indonesian police said the arrest did not suggest they had fresh information that the escaped Singaporean detainee could be in Indonesia.

The arrest was triggered by a tip-off from residents in the Belitung district in southern Sumatra. They had seen posters of Mas Selamat widely distributed there and thought Mr Ahmad looked like him.
