PREDATORY stalkers live in our community, just as anti-social psychopaths do.
The predatory stalker is generally in a position of power, such as lawyers, chief executive officers and screenwriters.
Hence, he or she is able to cultivate connections from various walks of life, for example, policemen and those in the medical fraternity.
Also, he or she would have strong links with neighbours and those working in community councils, for instance.
In fact, connections are made with anyone open to peer pressure, or who believes in the lies fabricated by the stalker.
These people would also, intentionally or unintentionally, be manipulated - voluntarily or under duress - to follow the stalker's instructions.
With such power, stalkers can influence others - by alluding to the possibility of negative circumstances visited upon those who refuse to cooperate.
Ultimately, the sole purpose of the predatory stalker-bully is to have total control over a particular individual, from whom the drive for illegitimate destructive control and power is obtained.
The stalker does this by isolating the victim.
The "mode of operation" is to disseminate rumours, get family members to question the victim, and the community to generally annoy and harass him. Sometimes, this can involve veiled threats and cruelty to pets.
The stalker gets away with this behaviour because he or she is one or two persons away from the front line, so to speak, and could also be masters of disguise, like an actor.
The stalker aims to divide and control.
Stalking and bullying involve observing and following victims closely, setting up interactions as coincidental, and veiled threats and constructed accidents.
Stalkers also try to induce a sense of guilt in their victims, after framing them through a fabrication of lies.
Having connections in the police force is hence useful, for it allows the stalker to gain access to illegal "listening devices", "telephone taps" or "electronic-vehicle tracking devices", without fear of apprehension. The best way to protect oneself against becoming a victim, or a manipulated participant, of such insidious intentions is to be mentally strong and not succumb to fear from peer pressure, or threats.
Be open, and write down your experiences. Share your stories with others, without fear or favour.
