13 teens to be 'green' envoys
Tue, Sep 30, 2008
AsiaOne

THIRTEEN Singaporean teenagers have been picked as environmental envoys by pharmaceutical company Bayer this year.

This is the largest number of envoys from Singapore since the Bayer programme begun here in 2002.

Three of the most outstanding among the envoys, aged between 17 and 18, will represent Singapore in a week-long field trip to Germany in Nov. They will join some 50 others from 17 countries to learn about how the government, industry and people practise environmental protection.
