The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) unveiled the 'Singapore Kaleidoscope' at the inaugural ITB Asia 2008, held at Suntec Exhibition Hall today.

A distinctive diamond-shaped canopy that will span the 300 square metre Uniquely Singapore Pavillion, it is the largest in this trade show.

It features diamond-shaped motifs and will characterise STB's presence at various international trade show platforms in the coming months.

These architectural walls will feature four themes: Urban Nature and Cultural Celebration themes highlight Singapore as a garden city, and vibrant arts and culture scene, Winning Formula represents new tourism developments and Glittering Icons showcase Singapore as a vibrant cosmopolitan destination.

Mr Ken Low, STB's Assistant Chief Executive for Brand and Communications, said: "Singapore offers a unique blend of the East and West, the modern and the traditional. With the city-state having undergone a dramatic transformation in recent years, we thought it was appropriate to represent Singapore?s multitude of offerings with these modern renditions of multi-faceted diamond motifs and mirrors.

"We hope that the design will pique the curiosity of tradeshow visitors and inspire them to find out more about Singapore."

Aside from representing Singapore's energetic personality, the concept also reflects the values of the Uniquely Singapore brand and is scalable to meet the requirements of various trade shows around the world.

Singapore Kaleidoscope' will make its way around the world at various tradeshows including the World Travel Mart (WTM) in London, China International Travel Mart (CITM) in Shanghai, the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo (AIME) in Australia and ITB Berlin after ITB Asia 2008.
