Body of a woman found off Sentosa beach

The body of a woman was discovered floating off Palawan Beach in Sentosa.

According to Shin Min Daily News, which was alerted to the find by a caller, the body was spotted in the waters about 11am this morning, and passers-by had gathered in a small crowd on the beach. The dead woman was wearing a brown-coloured top and blue-coloured cropped pants, and the body was seen floating face down. She also had long hair.

At the time of the report, the identity of the woman was not known, but police have classified the case as death by unnatural causes.

Visitors to the beach were visibly frightened at the sight of the body in the water.

According to a witness, the body was uncovered by the receding tide at 10am in the morning. It was already severely bloated then.

A Sentosa spokesman told Shin Min Daily News that the case has already been handed over to the police.
