A man punched a woman because she accidentally stepped on his feet on the MRT. He was so angry he did not let the incident go and wanted to step on her toes.
In the picture the woman sent to citizen-media website Stomp, she had a bruised chin, where she said the man had hit her.
She had lost her balance on the MRT and accidentally stepped on the toes of a man standing behind her.
The man pushed her in retaliation and they started to argue.
He maintained she did not understand how much it had hurt. She tried to diffuse the situation by apologising to the man.
But, she and her friends then laughed out loud "at how ridiculous the situation was".
That made him angrier and he reportedly yelled: "What's so funny? You think it's very funny, is it? It's very painful okay?"

The woman was shocked and said that she had already apologised and asked him if he wanted to step on her toes.
He agreed and demanded she remove her shoes so he could step on her feet.
When she obliged, he reportedly stepped on her feet, grinding and pressing down with his weight. He also leaned in, saying: "Painful, right? Painful, right?"
Saying "that was enough", the woman pushed him off her feet and on to the station platform when the doors opened at Somerset.
He then lashed out at her.
The woman, in an email to Stomp, said: "He threw a punch at my face. I stepped back and he hit me on the chin instead."
She has already contacted the police, but is concerned about girls being beaten in public.
"Singapore is supposed to be a safe country. I definitely do think twice about going out into crowded places these days. Heaven forbid that I should step on someone else's toes."
