The Star/Asia News Network

A 51-YEAR-OLD woman in Singapore lost her fight for living expenses when she challenged her lover's family in court, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The woman had met her lover, a businessman, when he employed her in 1996. He fathered her two girls in 1999 and 2001.

Their relationship was kept a secret until the man died in February last year, aged 60.

The woman, who had always received about RM7,300 (S$3,000) monthly in living expenses from her lover, then went to his four daughters for money.

The daughters had wanted to keep the affair a secret from their mother but the latter found out and agreed to pay the mistress about RM2,400 (S$1,000) every month.

The mistress was dissatisfied with the amount and brought it up to the court but it ruled against her.
