SHE visits her husband's resting place every day at Bright Hill Crematorium ever since he mysteriously died in an Orchard Road hotel hours after their wedding.

She never fails to show up and would bring along vegetarian food or fruits for her late husband, Mr Leong Jun Wei, 31, the co-owner of an electronics shop in Sim Lim Square.

Next to his ashes at the columbarium is an empty urn which Madam Kerin Peh, 27, reserved for herself.

She has also arranged an ancestral tablet for Mr Leong, in which her name was inscribed next to his. Madam Peh's name is currently covered with a piece of red paper.

According to Lianhe Wanbao, this means that Madam Peh has decided not to remarry and intends to remain faithful to her husband till the day she dies.

Early this month, she was found unconscious in the bedroom of a flat belonging to her parents-in-law.

She had cuts on her wrists and some pills were found next to her.

She was rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was discharged last week.

Madam Peh was back at the columbarium early this week and was seen spending close to two hours in front of the urn which contained her husband's ashes and looking at the picture of him in his wedding suit.

Tuesday marked the 49th day since Mr Leong's death.

His body was found lying on the driveway of the Hilton Hotel in the early hours of Nov 4. The couple had just held their wedding dinner there, after six years of dating.

About 300 guests attended the banquet that night.

It is believed that he had fallen to his death. however mystery surrounds the cause and events that led up to his demise.

The hotel's security camera footage show Mr Leong leaving the suite on the 10th floor at about 3am and walking hurriedly to the second floor barefooted.

Eight minutes later, he was dead.

Not long after, Madam Peh was seen sitting on the steps of the hotel lobby, weeping aloud.

The case has been classifed as unnatural death and will go before the coroner's court.
