my paper

WANT to look stylish at work? Want to learn how to eat right so that you have flawless looks?

Celebrities such as TV host and former newscaster Evelyn Tan will be at my paper and Lancaster's Savvy Beauty workshop to share tips on how they look their best.

Tan will be joined on Sept 4 at the Singapore Press Holdings auditorium by former Ms Singapore International World 2008 Elaine Heng, as well as a skincare expert and a dietician, who will share their tips on looking good.

Tan will host the session and lead the beauty gurus in a panel discussion. She will also share her beauty experiences.

The 36-year-old mother of three, who is married to actor Darren Lim, believes in keeping things simple, from her skincare regime to her wardrobe, she told my paper in an interview.

And, given that she has three children, she has struggled, she said, with a less-than-perfect figure.

But, at the end of the day, she says, life is about "enjoying being yourself".

She adds: "It's about acceptance. Let your personality do the talking."

Tan's kids are Kristen, five, Jarius, three, and Way, one.

Meanwhile, Ms Heng, 33, will show participants how to dress appropriately for work and still look fashionable.

The founder of Elaine Heng Image Consultancy said that projecting a professional image at work "will help improve your career chances and instil confidence in your client and yourself".

And if you want to know what to eat so that your skin glows, do not miss dietician Bibi Chia's tips.

The 29-year-old director of nutrition- and-dietician consultancy Eat Wise will teach participants how to incorporate the top 10 "anti-ageing foods" into their daily meals.

Monaco-based beauty brand Lancaster will be giving away two hampers worth $500 each.

Participants also stand a chance to win a three-day, two-night stay for two worth $1,600 at Club Med in Bintan.

The my paper and Lancaster Savvy Beauty workshop will be held on Sept 4 from 1.30pm to 5pm at the Singapore Press Holdings auditorium at News Centre, 1000, Toa Payoh North. Registration costs $20 (includes $20 Lancaster voucher) and there are 200 vacancies. To register, go to http://pbp.sph.com.sg/ mplancaster/ Registration closes next Friday. Successful applicants will be notified by e-mail by Sept 2.
