TAIPEI, TAIWAN - You don't usually hear building management committee and construction businesses mentioned in a ghost story. But recently, two human-sized paper dolls and a paper coffin used as sacrifice offering were set behind the display window in an empty lodging in Taipei County, scaring many children and adults passing by.

Concerned for the students of an elementary school across the street, the village chief and the police forced into the lodging and removed the scary objects yesterday, according to the Web site of Nownews.

The scary tactic was used due to a dispute between a builder and the residential management committee in a community across the street of the school. The builder wanted to buy a store space in the community and could not reach an agreement with the committee.

Later, the builder decided to send a message by putting the scary dolls behind the display window and illuminated the object with blue light to create a gloomy atmosphere which has frightened many school children and triggered complaints by nearby residents.

Ignoring the objections from local residents, the builder added a coffin instead.

The village chief called the police and a locksmith to enter into the house and took them away.
