STI lower at closing

>Singapore stocks fell with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 1.07 points, or 0.04 per cent, to 2,977.91, at closing.

Some 1.1 billion shares exchanged hands. Losers beat gainers 258 to 237.
