Taiwan may use national fund

>TAIPEI-TAIWAN said on Thursday it may use its National Stabilisation Fund if necessary to help stabilise the stock market, which has fallen more than 10 per cent this week amid the global financial crisis.

'The committee will pay close attention to market trends inside and outside of Taiwan and when necessary will use the National Stabilisation Fund to stabilise the financial markets,' the committee overseeing the fund said in a statement. -- REUTERS
