The Straits Times

ASK British-American TV producer Mark Burnett, creator of series such as Survivor and The Contender if the magic is wearing a bit thin for the reality TV format and he retorts that asking whether there is audience fatigue is 'a crazy question'.

In fact, he has much more up his sleeve for viewers.

In Singapore to promote his series The Contender Asia, he says: 'One thing that will come very soon in a big way will be things that are very interactive. Things you can play along with at home and win something from home, everybody in the audience is a player.'

In the meantime, he has three new shows coming to TV screens.

Amnesia will test players on their life memories and 'things you should remember'; Jingles sees contestants coming up with memorable tunes for products; and My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad has competing teams comprising children and their fathers.
