Spider-Man 3 is No 1 box office hit in S'pore

IT was a performance worthy of a superhero.

Spider-Man's latest adventures in the movie Spider-Man 3 earned $7.8 million last year, making it Singapore's top-grossing film ever.

That honour was previously held by Titanic.

Home-grown director Royston Tan's getai musical 881 also made it to the top 10 list with $3.5 million, becoming the year's highest-grossing Singaporean and Asian film.

Jack Neo's civil service satire Just Follow Law came in at No. 13 with $2.8 million.
