There will be new blood at S'pore film fest

THE times they are a-changing, Bob Dylan once sang. So they are for this year's Singapore International Film Festival (Siff), which turns 21 with drastic changes afoot.

The mother of all local film festivals will showcase over 200 features, short films and documentaries from 40 countries from March 28 to April 14.

But behind the scenes, it is facing new challenges to its existence.

Two of the festival's core members, festival director Teo Swee Leng and Mrs Lesley Ho, resigned last July.

The former handles administration and the latter sponsorship matters and programming.

Their departure means half of Siff's core team, which includes festival founder Geoff Malone and festival programmer Philip Cheah, is gone.
