STEVE Wold aka Seasick Steve is an American bluesman tackling stuff comparable to Ry Cooder, except that he's doing it on a guitar with just one string.

The 60-something former hobo even manages to pull a neat trick or two with panache, with a slide and stripped-down feel on the title track.
