GUANGYUAN, Sichuan province, China - Six-year-old Zhang Wang was filmed showing off one of his many talents, walking blindfolded both forwards and backwards on a wire, in Guangyuan, Sichuan province, Sunday.

Zhang Wang's father trained his son to walk on a wire in order to build his confidence and independence.

They began to practice the art a year ago, alongside other physically demanding sports including rock climbing and Kung Fu.

The young boy trains for three hours a day, and they hope to hire a professional trainer in the future.

His father Zhang Yu explained that "it's terrible to be without knowledge", stressing that he wants his son to be educated, but also hopes that wire walking will be a special talent that could bring him prosperity.
