Is the 15-inch Apple MacBook Air the perfect blend of productivity and portability?

The combination of 500 nits, 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display, tried and tested M2 chip, fanless design (silent) and up to 18 hours of battery life is pretty enticing for road warriors who don't need a laptop with a discrete graphics card.

And the laptop measures a ridiculous 11.5mm thin and weighs 1.51kg, which compares favourably against PC laptops.

While Intel's latest and finest should have an edge in raw performance, the M2's swag still lies in being able to come close while consuming less power, which contributes to its long battery life.

The MacBook Air also features a new six-speaker sound system, consisting of two tweeters and two sets of force-cancelling woofers to deliver immersive Spatial Audio. Other features include a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, MagSafe charging feature, two Thunderbolt ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The 15-inch MacBook Air with M2 comes in four finishes: Midnight, starlight, silver, and space grey, with prices starting from $1,899 ($1,749 for education customers). The laptops are available for order starting Wednesday (June 7).
