It's a boy for Shawn Yue and wife

Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue and his wife Sarah Wang have welcomed a bouncing baby boy.

Wang, 29, delivered the 3.2kg baby via Caesarean section in a Hong Kong private hospital on Thursday (May 10) afternoon, Apple Daily reported.

The excited actor shared a photo of his newborn son and introduced him on Instagram: "Hi everyone, my name is Cody Yue."

In the post, Yue said that he felt indescribable joy when he first saw his child. He added that he was grateful that both mother and baby were safe and sound.

Little Cody's hand gesture in the photo also appeared to be a nod to his dad's favourite number - six.

When they heard the good news, the actor's showbiz friends were quick to congratulate the couple.

Father-of-two Jay Chou cheekily said: "Awesome, you'd better learn the ropes from me" while Blackie Chen welcomed Yue to the "Dad Club".

According to media reports, the first-time dad said that he hopes he would be able to take two months off his busy filming schedule to take care of his newly expanded family.

Yue and Wang got hitched in a private ceremony in Melbourne in Dec 2017 and announced they were expecting a baby in March this year.
