Suzuki Cup: Singapore beats Myanmar 4-2

 

SINGAPORE - Singapore has beaten Myanmar 4-2 at the ASEAN Football Federation Suzuki Cup.

Left-back Shaiful Esah scored a free-kick past goalkeeper Thiha Si Thu's defence in the opening goal, while midfielder Hariss Harun added the next two goals from outside the box in the first half.

Myanmar rallied from their zero goal score in the second half when midfielder Kyaw Zayar exchanged passes with Min Min Thu before scoring their first goal.

Striker Kyaw Ko Ko scored a penalty after Safuwan Baharudin felled him in the box in the 62nd minute, but the Lions gained back momentum in the 76th minute with Shaiful's free kick.
