Woman on Easter egg hunt find body

A Tennessee woman discovered a decomposed body under the deck of her house during an Easter egg hunt.

Ms Tara Hanouskova was looking for chocolate eggs in her backyard on Wednesday evening with her four-year-old son when she noticed a strong odour.

She had noticed the smell earlier in the week, but could not pinpoint its source until that moment, US news portal WNCT reported.

Ms Hanouskova was able to get her son back into the house before he saw anything traumatic. She said she had no idea how the body ended up under her house.

The body was so badly decomposed that it could not be identified. In addition, there was no identification on it.

Tests revealed that the body is that of a middle-aged man and it had been there for about two weeks.

Preliminary post-mortem results revealed that the man died of a medical condition.
