Creative and Submission Guidelines for Advertisers
Introduction
This document outlines the specific requirements and guidelines for submitting creative materials to AsiaOne's Ad Ops for approval and trafficking. Adherence to these guidelines is crucial for ensuring a smooth and efficient campaign launch.
General Requirements
- File Formats:
- Images: JPEG, PNG (for static images)
- Video: MP4 (recommended), MOV, AVI (specific codecs and resolutions may vary based on ad format)
- Rich Media: HTML5 (preferred), GIF (for animated banners)
- File Naming Conventions: Use a clear and consistent file naming convention, including campaign name, ad size, and format (e.g., campaign_name_728x90_banner.jpg)
- File Size: Adhere to specified file size limits for each ad format to ensure optimal loading times.
Ad Specifications
- Interactive Elements: Interactive elements are allowed but must be compatible with all major browsers and devices.
- Audio: Audio elements must be muted by default with a clear and easily accessible unmute button.
- Accessibility: Adhere to accessibility standards to ensure inclusivity for users with disabilities.
Creative Content Guidelines
- Brand Guidelines: Adhere to the advertiser's brand guidelines and style guides.
- Ad Copy: Ad copy must be clear, concise, and compelling. Avoid excessive use of uppercase letters, exclamation points, and special characters.
- Legal and Compliance: All creative materials must comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Offensive Content: Any content that is offensive, discriminatory, or misleading is strictly prohibited.
- Third-Party Elements: Third-party elements (e.g., tracking pixels, social media sharing buttons) are allowed, but must be disclosed and approved in advance.
Technical Specifications
- HTML5: HTML5 is the preferred format for interactive and dynamic ads.
- Rich Media: Rich media ads must be optimised for mobile devices and load quickly.
- Video: Videos should be compressed to optimise file size without compromising quality.
- Tracking Pixels: Tracking pixels must be implemented according to our specifications and guidelines.
Submission Requirements
- Number of Creatives: Each campaign is limited to a maximum of 3 creatives.
- Click-Through URLs: Provide one click-through URL for each creative.
- File Delivery: Submit creative materials in a compressed (.zip) file format.
- Metadata: Include a detailed spreadsheet or document outlining creative information for each ad.
- Approval Process: Allow 5 working days for creative review and approval prior to campaign launch.
Additional Guidelines
- File Sizes: File sizes that exceed our specifications may require third-party ad serving with secured tags. Only third-party ad impressions and click tracking are allowed, with a limit of 1 impression tracker and 1 click tracker per creative set.
- Leaderboard Ads: Leaderboard ads must adhere to HTML5 guidelines. Flash files converted to HTML5 using Swiffy are not allowed.
- Retina Display: Optional 2x density creative files can be provided for higher retina devices. This is not applicable for HTML5 or third-party ad hosting.
- Animated GIFs: Animated GIF ads should have a maximum duration of 15 seconds.
