Fish farmers in Pasir Ris running out of lease time
Fish farms in Pasir Ris - popular for their fish spas, as well as prawning and fishing facilities - will have to close by the end of 2014. The leases of the businesses, which sit on a 216,680 sq m plot of state land, expire between November this year (2013) and December 2014.
Fourteen farms in Pasir Ris will have to leave by December 2014, as the land, which covers an area of more than 200,000 sq m, will be used for industrial development.
