In case you haven't heard, Japanese supermarket Meidi-Ya will be moving out of its premises at Liang Court by March 31, due to the mall's redevelopment. According to The Straits Times, the site was bought over and is set to be replaced by an integrated development with two residential towers, a new hotel, and new commercial spaces.

But not to worry, the popular grocer isn't leaving our shores anytime soon.

Fans of fresh Japanese produce can do their shopping at Meidi -Ya's other location in Great World City, which opened in June last year.

And this week will be the last chance for you to enjoy their Kochi Spring Fair, where foodies can find specialties from the prefecture located on the island of Shikoku in Japan.

Shimanto unagi bentos will be available from $18 to $30, along with a wide range of yuzu products (jams, dressings and drinks), as well as a very delicious-sounding Tosa Jiro Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream ($4.80).

There's more to look forward to in the next few months, as the supermarket will be opening at Millenia Walk by August 2020.
