And why not? Baked to beautiful gold perfection, filled with a smooth lotus paste, complete with a savoury egg yolk… It's easy to see why these classics continue to captivate our hearts - and taste buds.

Always a favourite, we're starting the list with InterContinental Singapore's baked series. It goes without saying that the good people at InterContinental Singapore have brought back the perennial favourite baked mooncake with assorted nuts, so if you're looking for a classic treat then you'll know exactly where to go.

However, for those looking for a healthier (read: guilt-free) indulgence, don't fret just yet! Along with the double and single yolk options for their white lotus paste mooncakes, InterContinental Singapore is also offering a low-sugar variation to keep your belly trim and your tastebuds satisfied.

Bakerzin has brought out an assortment of wholesome mooncakes, a healthy collection packed with five different varieties of nuts and seeds. The highlight? Their Classic Melon Seed Mooncake that features crunchy melon seeds dotted generously in their smooth white lotus paste.

Their Vegetarian Mixed Nuts mooncake features a nutritious combination of a vast array of nuts and seeds - almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds, olive seeds, the list goes on - and replaces lard, the usual combining agent, with vegetable oil to ensure that nobody is left out this mooncake festival.

Alright, so this option from Holiday Inn isn't completely traditional, but we're bending the rules just a tad.

Thye Moh Chan has been preserving the art of tradition since 1943, baking Teochew confectionary for over 70 years. In line with its heritage, their traditional mooncakes are baked by hand for over five hours, with its customary recipe of maltose, white sesame, citrus strips and five-spice powder.
