Malaysia lifts block on Grok AI after X implements safety measures

KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia has restored access to Grok for its users after social media platform X implemented additional safety measures, its communications regulator said on Friday (Jan 23).
Malaysia this month temporarily blocked access to Grok amid a global backlash against a feature of the artificial intelligence chatbot that allowed users to create and publish sexualised images of others.
