Sony is letting customers bring home its headphones and soundbars to test out for 7 days

Lauded for its great noise-canceling performance and long battery life, the Sony WH-1000XM3 wireless headphones have a sticker price of $549. Which is no chump change and thus hard to justify if you don't have the opportunity to test them for an extended period of time.

Well, now you can. Sony has recently started a loan programme that lets you borrow the WH-1000XM3 for up to seven days.

You don't need to buy anything to qualify for this, but you do need to put down a refundable security deposit of $50 (via cash or NETS) before you can bring the headphones home. Also, this loan programme is only available at the Sony Stores at 313@Somerset and Bugis Junction.

Additionally, from now till June 30, Sony is giving a $50 cashback when you buy the WH-1000XM3. This effectively brings the price of this pair of excellent headphones down to $499. I was at the Bugis outlet earlier today, and the salesperson told me that if customers decide to buy the WH-1000XM3 at the end of their loan period, they would also be getting a Porter International tote bag worth $199 for free. (Terms and conditions apply.)

SOUNDBARS FOR LOAN, TOO! 

Over at the Sony Stores at 313@Somerset, Wisma Atria, IMM, and Nex, Sony is also letting customers bring home select soundbars to test. The soundbars that are in this programme are: HT-X9000F, HT-Z9F, and HT-ST5000.

Like the WH-1000XM3, you've to put down a refundable security deposit of $50. But there's another condition: this soundbar loan is only valid if you were to buy a Bravia TV.

Don't say bojio.
