Ubisoft takes action on XP farming in Assassin's Creed Odyssey

The new Story Creator mode in Ubisoft’s Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is being changed to prevent XP farming.
Since the mode was launched last month, gamers started using the system — which allows players to build their own custom missions — to easily boost their XP. The player-created quests enable characters to boost their levels and stats up rapidly without having to do anything much, Kotaku reported. In these quests, NPCs would spawn to instantly kill enemies for the player, who’d receive a tonne of XP without a sweat.
Ubisoft obviously didn’t like their tool being used that way, and the company has taken action by banning such exploits.

In an update, the game’s developers said: "Story Creator Mode was designed to be a tool for players to let their creativity and imagination run free as they build their very own Stories to share with others, using a modified version of the tools our own designers used to develop the quests in the game.”

"These exploits risk jeopardising the overall quality, integrity, and purpose of Story Creator Mode and results in less visibility for the creative, interesting and frankly fantastic community stories that have been published."
As a result, XP farming quests will be filtered from the mode's automatic recommendation system, while any stories reported for exploits will be hidden from view.
There will also be sanctions for anyone misusing the tool, and these changes will be reflected in an updated terms of use, while future updates will look into "further solutions" to the issues.
