AsiaOne takes on Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights 8

Can you survive a walk through a 'haunted' mansion without shrieking in fear (or perverse pleasure)?

That's the challenge we put AsiaOne video producers Sheryl and Livy through for this year's Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Singapore.

The annual shock-fest is in its eighth year - so we wonder, can it still serve up the scares?

There's not just one but five haunted houses this year - Pontianak, Killuminati, The Haunting of Oiwa, Pagoda of Peril, and Netflix's science fiction-horror series, Stranger Things.

And it is the last house that was the most challenging to recreate, according to USS' creative director Markham Gannon - as it involved distilling the show's most iconic and scary moments into a production that's less than 10 minutes long.

So how did we fare? Watch to find out.
