Bai Lu offers ticket and travel refunds for Bangkok fan-meet in light of safety concerns

Bai Lu has offered fans full ticket and travel refunds ahead of her scheduled fan-meet in Bangkok on Oct 25, following safety concerns sparked by recent alleged abduction-related incidents in Thailand.

In a statement by her studio released on Oct 13, the 32-year-old China actress said they understood fans' concerns and emphasised that their safety remains the top priority.

The statement read: "We hope that every fan can travel with peace of mind and return home happily; we hope you feel no pressure when weighing your options."

The concerns follow reports of alleged abductions and human-trafficking cases involving Chinese nationals in Thailand in recent months.

In September, three Chinese men were rescued after they were allegedly lured to the country with job offers and trafficked.

In August, a Chinese woman was allegedly kidnapped from a Bangkok hotel. She escaped with her hands bound after jumping out of the getaway car.

Bai Lu's studio said that after discussions with event organisers, they have opened a 24-hour refund window allowing fans to apply for full refunds without penalty through their original ticketing platforms. The application period ran from 3pm on Oct 13 till Oct 14, 3pm.

Bai Lu also offered to cover all eligible fees incurred by fans who need to cancel or amend their flights and accommodation between Oct 24 and 26 for the fan-meet.

For those still planning to attend, the fan meet is set to proceed as scheduled on Oct 25.

Dedicated airport reception service and online safety support teams will also be introduced to offer additional assistance to fans travelling to Bangkok.
