As part of the precautionary measures against the coronavirus, people are advised to avoid large group activities.

However, the Milan Fashion Week still went on as planned from Feb 18 to 24, with a large number of South Korean celebrities in attendance. Now, it's been confirmed that K-pop star Chungha has been quarantined after two of her staff who accompanied her on the trip contracted the coronavirus.

In a statement released by MNH Entertainment (which manages Chungha), the agency confirmed that both were diagnosed after their return from Italy.

Although Chungha tested negative for the coronavirus, she has been placed under quarantine at the request of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

"For the sake of safety, Chungha’s planned schedule will be cancelled for the time being, and we will continue to take the best measures possible in dealing with this," MNH Entertainment added.

Korean media reported that other South Korean celebrities who were at Milan Fashion Week included actresses Song Hye-kyo and Park Min-young, singer-actress IU, and Blackpink's Lisa, hence sparking fears that they might have been exposed to the virus. They also reportedly stayed in the same hotel and moved around together occasionally during the trip.

The artistes and their management agencies have not commented on whether they have been tested.
