Forget him as a pasty bloodsucker. Lutz is now immortalised as a bronzed demi-God
This strapping hunk’s chiselled good looks has served him well. Lutz started out as an Abercrombie and Fitch model at age 18, before graduating to become a Calvin Klein underwear model in 2010. The actor is still with Ford Models.
He skateboards, swims, skis and plays basketball, lacrosse, and tennis. It’s little wonder Lutz is the action guy in movies. He was the jock vampire Emmett Cullen in The Twilight Saga. And this week, he gets his own movie playing the titular Greek demi-God in The Legend Of Hercules. Lutz’s Hercules plans to elope with his dream girl Hebe (Gaia Weiss). Sadly, his plans are foiled and he is sold into slavery. But our hero fights back and finds his place as one of the greatest Greek heroes.
The buff Lutz ironically had to trim down for Hercules, the 28-year-old told Entertainment Tonight. Lutz adopted the popular Paleolithic diet, which meant no processed foods or refined sugars.
“It is high protein. You take carbs out, gluten free, dairy free, sugar free. It was kind of tough because I love candy.”
THE MILEY CONNECTION
Lutz was spotted making out with pop star Miley Cyrus over the New Year holidays. A budding romance or a brief fling? A source close to both told E! News that they are indeed an item, but it’s “not very serious at this time”.
HE’S NOT EXPENDABLE
The Twilight Saga made him a star and gave him legions of female fans. Following the male-skewed The Legend Of Hercules, Lutz is Sylvester Stallone’s protege in The Expendables 3, opening here on Aug 14. The actioner should give Lutz a brand-new demographic of fans.
