After the 10 new Marvel shows announced for Disney+ during the recent Investor Day 2020, Marvel Studios has revealed that it will be adding one more to the mix with the upcoming Marvel Studios: Legends.

It is described by Marvel as a new series that will “showcase individual characters viewers have come to know and love over the years and revisit some of their most iconic moments.”

Based on that description, it seems Marvel is creating its own clip show to help fans or those new to the franchise be up to speed on what’s happening in the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe before they delve into one of the many Marvel series on Disney+.

Not surprisingly, the first two episodes of Legends will focus on the characters of Wanda Maximoff and Vision, who will soon be starring in their very own Disney+ series WandaVision. The episode will showcase their “interconnected path across the MCU that led them both here.”

This won’t be the first time Marvel has employed similar tactics to refresh their audience’s memory as the comics frequently use one-page recaps to help readers keep up with what’s going on.

It seems that fans are also aware of the reason Marvel has decided to release a clip-show like series on Disney+, with user bmoupside2 on Reddit perhaps putting it best.

The series will drop on Jan 8, 2021, just in time for WandaVision which is set to premiere on Jan 15.
