Rex Orange County visits Singapore fan's home for a duet

Rex Orange County will be performing in Manila, the Philippines, on Aug 20 but it seems he’s making pit stops around the region before the show.

Yesterday (Aug 17), Singapore-based TikTok user Clara Thio and her brother shared videos of the 28-year-old British singer visiting their home.

Rex Orange County performed for their family, sang a duet of Love Me Not by Ravyn Lenae with Clara and signed a note.

It appears he had a meal at their place too as he posed for a photo with a family member while holding a plate of satay.

Clara, who posts song covers on her page, had posted a video earlier in May asking for Rex Orange County to come back to Singapore. He last performed here in October 2023.

While she hasn’t revealed how she was chosen, her brother said the singer’s team reached out to her two weeks before the visit.

Rex Orange County, whose real name is Alexander James O'Connor, is best known for songs including Best Friend and Loving Is Easy (both released in 2017) and Pluto Projector (2019).

On Aug 15, he made an unannounced appearance at Bukit Bintang MRT station in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he performed live for commuters with Malaysian busker Winson.
