Sing it, not say it.
Singaporean singers JJ Lin, Kit Chan, and Stefanie Sun has rallied under Tanya Chua's call to create a short video encouraging people to stay home to help flatten the curve during the Covid-19 outbreak.
According to 45-year-old Tanya, the clip came about because she was "feeling helpless" after realising that people are almost out of jobs as a result of the pandemic, yet there are news of people still holding social gatherings outside.

On her Instagram post yesterday (April 7), Tanya added: "I was wondering what we in the music industry could do. After a few text messages, everyone readily agreed to do this in less than an hour, and that's how our #stayathome movement was born in one night."
The video clip starts with Tanya playing a note on the cello and kicking off with the line "Stay at home". Stefanie, Kit, and JJ then joined in, echoing that line in increasing octaves and culminating in a chorus.

In case you're wondering, JJ had the honour of hitting the highest note while using an abs roller which is definitely no mean feat.
The singers shared the clip on their social media platforms, hashtagging "JKST" — the initials of their name — with Stefanie joking: "#JJyourfansneedtoseeyourabsinthesedifficulttimes."
The quartet received praise from netizens, including local celebrities such as Joanna Dong and Michelle Chong. On JJ's Instagram, Hong Kong singer Charlene Choi (who sang the hit song Little Dimples with JJ) wrote: "Nice. Pls stay safe 'brother dimples'."
Tanya explained that JJ, Stefanie, and Kit filmed their clips at home and they had lots of chemistry. The singers were serious but funny, and had all sorts of shenanigans. The clips were filmed and edited — by Tanya — within the same day.
"The message is clear, no?" said Tanya, who went on thank the singers for their contribution.
"It is rare that we can have such a meaningful collaboration while in isolation. I'm very touched. Let's work together and hope that we can make an impact, no matter how small. Let's do this together!"
