Taiwanese singer Wang Lee Hom announces birth of daughter

SINGAPORE - Taiwanese singer-songwriter Wang Lee Hom welcomed the birth of his newborn daughter today on his Facebook page.

The 38-year-old, who quietly married 27-year-old Lee Jinglei in November last year, posted a photo of his baby daughter's tiny feet with his and his wife's hands forming a heart shape around it.

"I've been waiting for you all my life. And now...here you are, early bird! Mother, daughter are both well! Thank you all for your blessings and best wishes," wrote Wang.

The Facebook post has been shared over 3,200 times, with at least 96,000 likes.

Wang had announced his wife's pregnancy in May while performing at a concert in China's Xi'an, where she was spotted attending the concert in flat-soled shoes, loose clothing and an obvious bulge in her belly, reported Shin Min Daily News.

During then, Wang had said that he intended for his baby to be born in Taiwan. According to reports, the couple were expecting their daughter to arrive in August instead.
