Ermeneglido Zegna

Speaking of the global pandemic, Gildo Zegna, CEO of Ermenegildo Zegna said "At Zegna we believe our actions today will shape our tomorrow. The pandemic we are all facing is a call for people around the world to take action. Each of us must do our part, in every way possible, to stop this global emergency."

The Zegna family, alongside the fashion houses top management have given 3 million Euros (S$5 million) to the Civil Protection in Italy to support the nurses, doctors and scientists fighting the disease.

As well as this, the Zegna Group has also converted part of its production facilities in Italy and Switzerland to the manufacturing of medical masks.

LVHM

The luxury French conglomerate that counts Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Dior under its umbrella, are turning their hand to hydroalcoholic gel. Using the manufacturing facilities of their perfume and cosmetics brands, the gel will be distributed free to health authorities in France.

LVMH have also promised to donate 40 million face masks to workers on the front line and the brand said in a statement: "Through this initiative, LVMH intends to help address the risk and lack of product in France and enable a greater number of people to continue to take the right action to protect themselves from the spread of the virus."

Armani

Giorgio Armani has pledged over 2 million Euros to healthcare workers in Italy. He also recently declared that he would be using his factories to produce medical overalls for hospitals in dire need of protective equipment.

Christian Siriano

One of the first in the fashion field to offer their assistance, the Project Runway alum has turned his hand to face masks. Given the shortage in New York, he has turned his atelier into a mask manufacturer to help front line workers.

Mango

With Spain being one of the worst affected areas in Europe, Mango's two million face masks will come in particularly helpful for hospitals across the nation.

Coty

Another vote for hand gel - Coty, the manufacturer behind CoverGirl and Calvin Klein fragrances is using its production facilities to make hydroalcoholic gel for medical and emergency services. "We stay close to our communities during these exceptionally challenging times," said the company in a statement.

Canada Goose

The Canadian firm has turned its hand from creating ultra high-end outerwear and shoes to making scrubs and patient gowns to be distributed to hospitals in Canada.

"Across Canada, there are people risking their lives every day on the frontlines of Covid-19 in healthcare facilities, and they need help," said Dani Reiss, President and CEO of Canada Goose.

"Now is the time to put our manufacturing resources and capabilities to work for the greater good." The company has also donated RMB 1 million to the Wuhan Charity Federation to help fight the Covid-19 outbreak.
