Floral dresses inspired by those spotted on Crash Landing On You stars

As Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada said best, "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." Indeed, the nature-inspired pattern is hardly the most revolutionary design in fashion.
On hit South Korean drama Crash Landing On You, however, we got a glimpse into how fashionable and stylish florals can actually be, thanks to the snatched looks served up by Son Ye-jin and Seo Ji-hye.
Florals were an interesting motif too, as it possibly signalled the blossoming of the two characters as they transformed to become stronger, actualised versions of themselves.
Keep reading as we highlight our favourite floral dress and we tell you how to get these looks for yourself.
SOFT AND ROMANTIC
In the finale over a picturesque scene of Switzerland, Son wore this pretty and feminine light pink floral number as she basked in Ri Jeong Hyeok's company. We especially love how the ruffled shoulder detail made the look more romantic too.
GET: BOTANICAL FLORAL BUBBLE SLEEVE SEAMED MIDI DRESS, $40.76 FROM ASOS
Likewise, this Asos dress hits all the romantic notes from the lovely floral print, soft coral hue and V-neckline. We also like how the puffed sleeves add extra drama too. Pair it with white strappy sandals and a pink pout for a garden brunch date with your beau.
UNEXPECTED COLOURBLOCK
One of our favourite looks that Seo Ji-hye wore was this eye-popping design from Ports 1961 2019 Fall/Winter collection. The juxtaposition of colourblocking with the arabesque print made it a truly unique design.
Fun fact: this outfit isn't actually a dress, but consists of a top and a skirt. The grey wrap-around detail is also part of the skirt's construction.
GET: LOVESHACKFANCY BEX PATCHWORK FLORAL-PRINT COTTON-VOILE MAXI DRESS, US$384 (S$540) FROM NET-A-PORTER
Patchwork is another form of colourblocking. Well, print-blocking if we want to get into technicalities. Play up the vintage vibes of this LoveShackFancy creation with a pair of espadrille wedges for summer vibes.
WRAP IT AROUND YOUR BODY
Besides the lovely print on this Dolce & Gabbana dress, another reason why this number looked so good on Son is because it accentuated her curves.
The large print balanced the bodycon silhouette while the sweetheart neckline showed off her decolletage.
GET: SALONI BIANCA PRINTED SILK CREPE DE CHINE MIDI DRESS, US$640.22 FROM NET-A-PORTER
Cut in a slim fit silhouette, Saloni also made the dress with a slightly gathered waist detail that will hug and show off your curves. Click on a pair of black heels and gold hoops to finish the look.
DARK AND MYSTERIOUS
When we think of floral prints and dresses, the usual colour palettes that come to mind are light, bright shades that channel the vibrancy of spring and summer.
This Rochas iteration on Seo, however, went with a dark romantic vibe with its deeper, fall/winter hues.
GET: FLORAL RUFFLED NECKLINE MAXI DRESS, $49 FROM POMELO
Similar to Seo's dress, this Pomelo iteration features a black background which makes the colourful floral prints pop. Moreover, this is a wrap dress design that flatters many body types and shapes.
DON'T STICK TO FORMULAIC COLOURS
This Chloe dress presents yet another unconventional colourway for florals. But beyond that, we love how the print almost seems to become one with fabric, much like brocade.
The high collar, maxi length and long sleeves also make the dress modern yet office-appropriate.
GET: BALENCIAGA ASYMMETRIC RUFFLED FLORAL-PRINT SILK-SATIN DRESS, US$3,670 FROM NET-A-PORTER
This Balenciaga dress is packed full of details - the bold print, the soothing blue hue, ruffled sleeves, asymmetric hemline and gathered waist - that all contribute to making this a truly unique piece to own.
UNIQUE SILHOUETTES
Another ensemble that technically isn't a dress, but we're loving the floral print and silhouette of this Giambattista Valli ruffle top and pleated skirt. Floral prints have become such a ubiquitous pattern that we welcome any design that can take it to the next level.
GET: LONG DRESS WITH A SCARF COLLAR, $94.95 FROM H&M
Orange and green are a winning colour combination that many don't explore and try. We're also loving the scarf collar and ruffled details. Add a grungy edge with a pair of lace-up military boots.
