Craving for Dapur Hassan's nasi padang? You won't be able get your fix at Tampines anymore.

In a social media post on Sunday (Oct 4), Dapur Hassan announced the closure of the stall after serving diners on its final day.

Thanking customers for their support, they wrote: "This place has given us so many memories, from the meals we prepared to the conversations and support we received from all of you."

Dapur Hassan's owner, former Lions goalkeeper Hassan Sunny, first shared news of the stall's closure last week.

"It's been an amazing journey here and I'm really grateful to everyone who has come down and supported us," he said in a social media post on Sept 30.

The 42-year-old added: "This is not the end of Dapur Hassan".

The nasi padang stall will pivot to operate on Grab Delivery, after its owners take a short break.

AsiaOne has contacted Dapur Hassan for more information.

Dapur Hassan, which opened in 2020, specialises in traditional Malay fare such as nasi padang, nasi lemak, mee rebus and lontong.

It opened for business at Block 872C Tampines Street 86, before moving to Block 144 Tampines Street 12, where it operated until its final day.

Dapur Hassan also made headlines in 2024, when Chinese football fans flocked to the stall and gave it five-star reviews following Singapore's World Cup qualifier match against Thailand.

Hassan had made 11 saves in Singapore's 3-1 loss to Thailand, which allowed China to advance to the next stage.

And it appears that some Chinese fans have not forgotten Hassan, even after two years.

Following the closure announcement, one commented: "Been to Dapur Hassan four times. All the best. Chinese fans remember you."

Others chimed in, with one writing: "Oh no, one of my favourite stalls for nasi sambal goreng and nasi lemak is ending soon [sic], so sad."

Another said: "My dad is a regular customer at your shop and your nasi sambal goreng practically became our daily breakfast.

"Our family will miss you. Thank you for serving us all these while."
