She's just 14, but footballer Lim You has a mean left foot.

The Malayan Tigress Under-17 midfielder has gone viral after scoring a whopping seven goals with her left foot against Saudi Arabia in the final Group A match of the Srikandi Merdeka Cup in Indonesia on Tuesday (Aug 18).

Malaysia won 9-0 and tied with Hong Kong on points as runners-up in Group A and qualified for the semi-finals on goal difference, reported Bernama.

Lim's skillful performance shot her to overnight fame online.

Video compilations of her powerful left-foot kicks left Malaysians in awe, with some comparing her to Egypt and former Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, known for his skills with the left foot.

"She is born left-foot killer, six goals all curved ball (sic)," a Facebook user said of her.

At an online press conference, Lim said her father had trained her to use her left foot like a "weapon", according to the New Straits Times.

"The seven goals, it's not all credit to me because my teammates got me the ball and I just helped finish the play," she was quoted as saying.

Born in Taiwan, she now lives in the US with her Malaysian parents, reported Sin Chew Daily.

She is reportedly made her debut for Malaysia at this tournament.

The Malayan Tigresses will face Group B winners Thailand on Friday.
