Malaysian drivers hit it off after hitting each other's vehicles

Getting into a car accident is always a bummer. But for these two drivers in Malaysia, they ended up using it as an opportunity to make a new friend.
The two men, who were not identified, were involved in a collision at Penang Island on Sept 5, reported China Press.
Instead of taking their frustration out on each other, they wound up taking each other out for lunch, drawing praise from netizens.
According to reports, the accident happened when a lorry hit a sports utility vehicle (SUV) from behind.
While the SUV suffered some dents and a broken rear window, the lorry was too damaged to be driven.
At the same time, the nearest police station did not accept traffic accident reports so the men had to make their way into the city in order to report the accident.
With his vehicle unable to move, the lorry driver was stranded and had to wait for his colleagues to pick him up.
Instead of getting upset about his damaged car, the SUV driver invited the lorry driver to have lunch together and even gave him a lift.
The pair documented the heartwarming encounter with a selfie where they were all smiles.
Who would have guessed that they had just been in a car accident with each other?
In light of reports saying that Malaysian drivers are a whopping three to four times angrier than drivers in other countries, these two men drew praise from netizens for resolving the situation calmly.
