Changan Q05 electric SUV makes Singapore debut at Car Expo

Changan has launched the Q05 in Singapore, adding a Category A compact electric SUV to its growing local range. The new model makes its public debut at The Car Expo 2026, held at Singapore Expo on Oct 24 and 25.

The Q05 sits below the S05 and S07 as the most accessible member of Changan's electric SUV lineup here. Its 99kW motor drives the front wheels and produces 190Nm of torque, taking the car from 0-100km/h in 9.7 seconds.

 A 51.9kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides a WLTP combined range of 394km. CHANGAN also quotes a WLTP city figure of up to 566km. DC charging peaks at 90kW, allowing the battery to be replenished from 30per cent to 80per cent in approximately 25 minutes under suitable conditions.

At 4,435mm long, 1,855mm wide and 1,600mm tall, the five-seat Q05 has a 2,735mm wheelbase. Its 450-litre boot expands to 1,380 litres with the rear seats folded, while a separate 90-litre underfloor compartment provides space for charging cables and other smaller items.

Standard equipment includes a 14.6-inch central touchscreen, a 10.17-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 50W wireless phone charger. Ventilated front seats, a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade and 256-colour ambient lighting are also included.

The driver-assistance package includes adaptive cruise control, lane centring, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection and rear cross traffic braking. A 3D around-view camera with a transparent-chassis display should also prove useful when manoeuvring in tighter car parks.

The Changan Q05 is priced at $174,999 at the time of writing, as part of an exclusive launch offer. Following its show debut, the Q05 will also be available for viewing and test drives at the Changan showroom at 281 Alexandra Road.
