An art installation by US sculptor Mark Jenkins called 'Project 84', which aims to raise awareness of male suicide rates in the United Kingdom, is seen on the roof of a building in central London. CEO of Campaign Against Living Miserably, Simon Gunning, explained that the statues were brought together in a group to signify the size of the problem.
In the UK, there is a suicide every two hours and around 12 a day, according to Mr Gunning.
"Every time you look at one of those statues, every single one, even the ones at the top have a name on them, that's a real man who died. And we spoke to families, and they gave us not just permission but their absolute blessing. Every single one represents a real person. I think that's so important that when you look at them that's your dad, your brother, your mate, you," said Mr Gunning.
He added that there has been no complaints of the art installation so far and that they were "really, really careful" to ensure that the statues will not be mistaken for someone in danger.
