Some of Asia's biggest and brightest stars gathered at the 53rd Golden Bell Awards ceremony to celebrate the best in Taiwanese television on Oct 6.

Celebrities who strutted down the red carpet in Taipei include Hong Kong actress Kathy Chow and South Korean actor Kim Rae-won.

The annual awards show saw some surprise wins - singer-songwriter Crowd Lu's acting debut in A Boy Named Flora winning Best Leading Actor and Best Newcomer Award, and singer-actor Peter Ho clinching the Best Director title in his debut TV series Age of Rebellion.
