Sports Hub looking into behaviour of football fans

SPORTSHUB Pte Ltd would like to provide assurance that we take the matter raised by Mr Yusri Razali ("No way to respond to a loss"; Dec 2) very seriously.

We do not condone the behaviour displayed at the end of the AFF Suzuki Cup match between Singapore and Malaysia on Nov 29, which put the safety of spectators, players and event officials at risk.

We are looking into the matter together with our partners - the Singapore Police Force and the Football Association of Singapore - and are determining the next course of action for those who participated in this breach of security.

Application of sanctions ranging from warning notices to venue bans will be considered for anyone identified as participating in an act of hazardous behaviour.

Our primary aim is to provide a safe and respectful environment for all patrons and participants, and we will look into implementing additional security measures for future events.
