Movie pick: 300: Rise Of An Empire

Movie pick: 300: Rise Of An Empire

My rule of thumb is that war movies with swords are better than war movies with guns.

They're more kinetic, more romantic and more fun.

300: Rise Of An Empire proves my theory correct in spades.

Set at the same time as the 2006 original, this sequel tells the story of the Greek sea battle against the invading Persians.

Athenian leader Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) is somewhat bland compared to Gerard Butler's Spartan king Leonidas, but his abs are pretty awesome.

Even so, he's completely overshadowed by Persian naval commander Artemisia, played by a hellbent-for-leather Eva Green.

With her crazy eyes and perfect boobs and flowing hair and killer quips, Green is glorious.

The battle sequences are ALMOST as intense as her sex scene with Stapleton.
