Heavyweight knockout artist Alain “The Panther” Ngalani makes his eagerly-anticipated return to ONE Championship on Saturday, 6 October at ONE: KINGDOM OF HEROES.

Ngalani will once again compete in ONE Super Series as he lines up against Andre “The Giant” Meunier in a heavyweight kickboxing bout in Bangkok, Thailand.

He plans on delivering another highlight-reel finish for the fans at the Impact Arena.

The bout offers Hong Kong-based Cameroonian Ngalani the chance to get back into the win column after losing out to Tarik Khbabez in his ONE Super Series debut in June.

“I think it was a good fight,” the 43-year-old begins.

“He was a very strong opponent, but I will only reflect on my own performance. I was a bit rusty.

“It was my first time back in kickboxing for many years, and I was recovering from a surgery, but now, I want to set the record straight.

“I want to get back in there, no matter who the next opponent is, and make things right — not just for myself, but I want to make things right for my fans.

“It doesn’t matter if I win or lose. I want to make sure that I have a good fight and give everything I can. I left Macau feeling like I didn’t do that, so this is an opportunity for me to correct it.”

Ngalani’s opponent offers a sizeable challenge. Like Ngalani, the 42-year-old Australian Meunier is a four-time Kickboxing World Champion. “The Giant” has a record of 42-8, with 25 wins coming by way of knockout. He also has a 9-2 record as a professional boxer.

“I’m not really focusing on him. My trainer showed me some footage, but I leave that to him,” Ngalani explains.

“I’m ready, and I need to make things right. It doesn’t matter who the opponent is. This is kickboxing, and there’s nothing you can do that I don’t know about.”

The hulking heavyweight is a man on a mission, determined to put things right in ONE Super Series after defeat in his maiden appearance in the striking-only series. Once he’s successful, he will look to reignite his career in ONE Championship’s main mixed martial arts league.

“I’m coming in there very hungry. I’m looking forward to finishing this fight and getting the victory,” he says.

“Then, I’m looking forward to going back to mixed martial arts.”
