Another one of Thailand’s top talents has joined the ONE Championship roster.

Panpayak “The Angel Warrior” Jitmuangnon has officially signed with the promotion and is set to compete in the organization’s all-striking league, ONE Super Series.

The Muay Thai pugilist, originally from the Samut Prakan province, hones his skills at the highly respected Jitmuangnon Gym in Nonthaburi, just north of Bangkok.

Despite being just 22 years old, he has already amassed a professional record of 243-40-3.

He is a two-division Lumpinee Stadium World Champion and a two-division Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion. Additionally, he won Muay Thai’s highest accolade, The Sports Writer’s Award, three years running from 2013-2015.

Panpayak, who has competed since the tender age of 8, is now set to make his promotional debut at ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONSon Friday, 7 December.

He will take on WKA European Champion Rui Botelho. This will be the Portuguese athlete’s second outing in ONE Super Series, having made his debut back in August.

The bout will be contested in the featherweight division and it will be scored under the Muay Thai rule set.

Panpayak is a classic Muay Femur stylist who likes to wait before unleashing his signature left high roundhouse kick.

Botelho, on the other hand, has more of a European kickboxing style and is exceptionally heavy-handed.

Despite such an extensive career, Panpayak has relatively little experience competing against foreigners and in the three-round format. For him to do well, he will need to significantly pick up the pace to match his European foe.

A match-up like this is sure to bring fireworks to the capacity crowd at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The event will be headlined by none other than Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex. It is the first time Muay Thai will be featured as the main event of a ONE Championship card.
