With just a little over a week left to go, Petchmorrakot Petchyindee Academy has a new opponent for ONE: DESTINY OF CHAMPIONS.

The two-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion was originally set to face England’s Charlie “Boy” Peters, but will now be gearing up to meet another Englishman, Liam “The Hitman” Harrison, at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday, 7 December.

This will mark Harrison’s promotional debut with ONE Championship. He is one of more than 100 World Champions on the promotion’s roster.

Harrison is an eight-time World Champion in both kickboxing and Muay Thai with two decades of experience. He started training at Bad Company Gym in Leeds when he was just 13 years old. He later started to make regular journeys to Thailand to sharpen his skills at Jitti Gym in Bangkok.

Petchmorrakot is well aware of his opponent’s credentials.

“He’s a very strong and aggressive fighter,” the 24-year-old says. “He’s a high-level champion.”

The Thai, however, has been honing his striking abilities through Muay Thai competition since the tender age of 8. He holds an incredible professional record of 156-34-2.

On the other side, Harrison brings with him an outstanding 84-22-2 record, and he has experience on some of the biggest international stages.

Also, “The Hitman” is well versed in both kickboxing and Muay Thai, which makes him an excellent addition to the promotion’s all-striking branch, ONE Super Series.

The pair will be competing in traditional 8-ounce boxing gloves under the Muay Thai rule set, with the three-round match being contested in the featherweight division.

When two athletes of this caliber meet in the Malaysian capital, fans can expect nothing short of fireworks.
