The ground-game dominance of “The Terminator” Sunoto was the difference as he put on an impressive display in front of his countrymen inside Indonesia’s Jakarta Convention Center against Victorio “Indra” Senduk.

After 4:12 of the second round, Sunoto finally forced Senduk to capitulate in their bantamweight mixed martial arts encounter thanks to a tight rear-naked choke at ONE: CONQUEST OF HEROES on Saturday, 22 September.

It was clear from their previous bouts that Sunoto would be the man with the grappling advantage, and he wasted no time in implementing it.

Within seconds of the opening bell, “The Terminator” hit a takedown, and from there, he dictated the whole of round one.

His smothering side control offered “Indra” no escape, and he patiently held position until he could land with strikes.

At the start of round two, Jakarta’s Sunoto surprised his foe from Bandung with a solid jab-cross combination, and then sought to take the bout to the mat once again.

Senduk defended the takedown well at first, but the tenacity of “The Terminator” meant he got there in the end.

He controlled the bout on the mat, landing punches and elbows, before getting to his opponent’s back and locking in a submission.

Senduk tried valiantly to defend, but he couldn’t fend off the rear-naked choke.

By winning his fifth bout in his last six contests, Sunoto improves to 10-4. and with victory number eight under the ONE Championship banner, he cements his position as one of the bantamweight division’s most prolific and successful competitors.
